Okay, so this may sound weird, but is there a correlation?

Okay, so yesterday was the solar eclipse, right? well, i live in a suburb of chicago, no water around us, and last night, there was a swarm of dragonflies swarming around a couple of houses on our street. I have never in my life seen anything like this, all they were doing was flying and they were all the way out, as far as i could see, and they were all the way up. i’ve never seen that many dragonflies, even at like a reservoir. it was really strange. so do you think there was a correlation between the eclipse and the weird behavior of the stupid bugs? it may seem strange, but i am 100 percent serious, and really baffled, and if you don’t think its because of that, or if you’ve seen something like that, let me know ur theories. thanx!!!
well, yeah, i was here, and i realize that the eclipse was nowhere near hear, but still, it was a solar thing that could affect larger areas in other ways.

My guess is that sort of swarming behavior has to do with mating. However, I have also seen red d-flies mating in flight as pairs without any other individuals around.

Some years ago there was a news report of frogs making war in India; it turned out to be an orgy, not a battle, but some reporter couldn’t tell the difference.
