DIY Solar Electricity
REVIEW & RECOMMENDATION:
DIY SOLAR ELECTRICITY GUIDE
As a solar energy executive, it took me many months to understand the workings of solar electricity on a technical level. Our company had a vast library of books such as those widely available in stores and on the internet. They were good, but none were able to single-handedly give me the systematic approach to confidently relay my knowledge to clients.
Too bad I didn’t have the Green DIY Energy Guide to turn to in those days. This well thought out and methodical DIY solar electricity e-book is so simple, you’ll wonder why you haven’t built your own system sooner. Part of the reason it is so successful in achieving this goal is because it also features six (6) accompanying videos to show you each step of the building process. But even without the videos, you will envision yourself putting together your own system from the first few pages.
As it turns out, building a solar panel requires no special skills and most anyone already has nearly all the tools needed for the project: screwdrivers, protective eyewear, saw, caulk gun, drill etc. If you don’t have them, you are likely to have a friend or neighbor who does.
The creators of this e-book are serious about keeping the cost of your DIY solar electricity system under $100. So, in addition to instructions for actually building your own solar panels, you also get information on:
- How to build a $98 solar panel
- Untapped resources in your own neighborhood for free or low-cost materials such as lumber and paints
- How to avoid online scams when buying solar cells
- How to locate used solar cells
- And when it makes sense to spend the few extra dollars to save you some time
Here’s an abridged version of the type of videos you get. Keep in mind that each of the six videos averages 15 minutes in length, giving you far more detail than you will see here.
